I'm a new owner of a 1949 Indian Warrior. I need to get it up and running and my first basic question is What kind of motor oil should I use?
Sorry it's such a basic question, but anyone's help would be appreciated.

The below recommendations are for Indian 30:50, 45, 74, 80, & Four. This out of a manual dated 1951.
SAE50 for 60 degrees & up. SAE30 for 32-60 degrees. SAE20W for 0-32 degrees. SAE10W for below zero temps. I know SAE20W is still available, but SAE10W probably isn't. SAE10 (without the W) can still be found, but more than likely it will be nondetergent.
