I am going to have both my front and rear rims laced with new spokes and need to know the offsets. This is a 1946 Indian Chief. Any help would be appreciated.

here ya go. make sure that you place the valve stem holes on the left side of the wheel oppsite the brake drum. In other words if your sitting on the bike the valve stems on both wheels are on your left side.

Chief wheel offset from FACE OF HUB on non brake side, to CENTER OF RIM Offset
37-45 Chief 2-15/16"
46-53 Chief  2-5/16"

What ever you do don't use Britech New England Inc. in Ma.  They claim to sell reproduction rims for Indians. The rims are good but don't let them lace them. The guy talks a good story on the phone and claims to know everything about Indian wheels, but is an absolute screw up and dosn't keep his promised dates.  if sending them out send to Buchanans.
