ebay has a number of dealers who offer factory starters for 00 Chiefs at very reasonable prices. I have seen a few still out there that are all chrome for a few extra $.
Aardvark makes a heavy duty starter relay for 99-03 Chiefs that is highly recommended. Uses a Bosch Relay and inline 20A fuse very easy yo install this along with a chrome push button starter solenoid cover on the solenoid as a redundant backup took 20 minutes to install both. No problems yet.
