Yeah that sounds like it. You can rebuild the solenoid or buy a new starter. A new starter from indian motorcycle leslie would run 270.00 and it includes the solenoid bypass button. Good luck.&

The system is dry. The gasket can harden and get brittle. The gaskets they sell at indian motorcycle leslie are very tough and can be reused many times. If its not on the website you can call them....

The seals that they sell are made of a graphite and if you don't tear them they can be reused many times. They are very tough. Even though you have a dry clutch system it may need the gasket changed...

The primary is a pretty thick gasket with a rubber seal embedded in the middle, if the rubber is still soft you could reuse it if you think your going to have it bck off real soon.

I did not realize I would need a gasket for the primary side, I thought it was a dry system there. Is it dry, or just need a gasket to keep things clean?
